چکیده

When a patch is placed close to the fed patch, get excited due to parasitic coupling between the two elements. This proposed work presents theoretical analysis of rectangular gap coupled microstrip patch antenna (R-GCMSA) using circuit concept model, and the effect of gap(g), feed width(W f), and feed length on performance of the impedance bandwidth is also studied, it is observe as the gap between the parasitic element is increased resonant frequency shifted towards the parasitic patch resonant frequency for broadening the impedance bandwidth. The maximum impedance bandwidth for the proposed antenna design is 12.7% in the frequency range of 3.24-3.7GHz measured, with rectangular shape ground plane size 6030m.m the highest directivity achieved is 4dBi. The proposed design is simple in structure and compact in size, proposed design is simulated on IE3D Microwave simulator, the simulated result is in good agreement with obtained theoretical and measured results.

In this paper a microstrip antenna on a suspended substrate with capacitive feed is presented. capacitive feed is created by a slot within the rectangular patch around the feed point. The proposed antenna exhibits a much higher impedance bandwidth of about 47% (S11 < −10 dB). Effects of key design parameters such as the air gap between the substrate and the ground plane, the gap width between r...

Analysis of a Gap-coupled Stacked Annular Ring Microstrip Antenna

A theoretical analysis of a gap-coupled stacked annular ring microstrip antenna with superstrate is performed in order to obtain wider bandwidth operation. The effects of air gap, superstrate thickness and feeding point location on the antenna performance are analyzed in TM11 mode using equivalent circuit concept. It is noted that the proposed antenna is very sensitive to the feeding point loca...

Development of A Compact and Low Profile ‎Cavity Backed Slot Antenna Using Microstrip ‎Gap Waveguide Technology

Proof of concept of a cavity backed slot antenna based on inverted microstrip gap ‎waveguide (IMGW) technology is presented. Since the antenna is operating based on the ‎first resonating mode of the cavity, it is more compact compared to the ordinary cavity ‎backed slot antennas in which the second cavity mode is used for radiation. Furthermore, ‎the proposed antenna element introduces lower lo...

Analysis of Aperture Coupled Microstrip Patch Antennas with a Superstrate Using the Space Domain Closed-Form Green`s Functions

Analysis of aperture-coupled microstrip antennas with a superstrate using space domain closed form Green's functions is presented. Integral equations are derived from applying the boundary conditions on the radiating patch, across the aperture, and on the microstrip feedline. The computation of space domain green's functions is performed using the closed-form. The solution of the integral equat...
